Ernest "Erv" Kanemoto was an American motorcycle mechanic and race team manager. He was born on January 19, 1941, in California, USA, and was of Japanese descent. Kanemoto became interested in motorcycles as a young boy and began racing at an early age.

Kanemoto became a well-known figure in the motorcycle racing world during the 1970s and 1980s as a chief mechanic and team manager. He worked with some of the world's most talented riders, including Randy Mamola, Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson, and Freddie Spencer. His teams won numerous championships in various racing categories, including Superbikes, Formula 750, and Grand Prix.

Kanemoto was known for his meticulous attention to detail and his willingness to push bikes and riders to their limits. He was also highly respected for his technical knowledge and ability to build and tune race engines. Many of his techniques and innovations are still used in the motorcycle racing industry today.
